As any writer, filmmaker, musician or other professional storyteller knows, it’s easy to get caught up in a complex plot. Trying to add twists and turns to make a story original, we often forget that the best stories are sometimes the most simple ones.
In Bibiti, London-based illustrator and animator Amer Nazri tells the story of 8 sons who want to get rid of their mother, but are betrayed by their own greed. It is a simple fable, but works brilliantly with the animation and is extremely polished. Bibiti may have had a tiny cast and crew but it’s a great accomplishment for Nazri, and we can’t wait to see what he has to offer in future.
