The Gift - Primavera

http://www.ted.com/talks/antonio_damasio_the_quest_to_understand_consciousness.html

"We all woke up this morning and we had with it the amazing return of our conscious mind. We recovered minds with a complete sense of self and a complete sense of our own existence — yet we hardly ever pause to consider this wonder.” (Antonio Damasio)

Madama Butterfly

Voo

TEDxUW - Larry Smith - Why you will fail to have a great career

Throughout his three-decade career here at the University of Waterloo, Larry Smith has inspired legions of students to take up the mantle of economics with his passionate and homespun tales of economic wizardry. A renowned story-teller, teacher and youth leadership champion, Larry has also coached and mentored countless numbers of students on start-up business management and career development strategies.

Having taught introductory microeconomics, macroeconomics and entrepreneurship classes, he recently celebrated assigning his 29,000th grade earlier this year.

Recipient of the Distinguished Teacher Award, Larry has also coached several of his former students to help them position and develop their businesses, the most famous of which is Research in Motion (RIM), maker of the revolutionary BlackBerry wireless mobile smartphone. Larry also sits on the advisory panels of start-ups to provide his guidance on financing and negotiation with investors and venture capitalists.

1911 - 2011 in 10 Minutes

Bruce Springsteen - We Take Care Of Our Own

I've been knocking on the door that holds the throne
I've been looking for the map that leads me home
I've been stumbling on good hearts turned to stone
The road of good intentions has gone dry as bone
We take care of our own
We take care of our own
Wherever this flag's flown
We take care of our own

From Chicago to New Orleans
From the muscle to the bone
From the shotgun shack to the Super Dome
There ain't no help, the cavalry stayed home,
There ain't no one hearing the bugle blowin'
We take care of our own
We take care of our own
Wherever this flag's flown
We take care of our own

Where're the eyes, the eyes with the will to see
Where's the hearts that run over with mercy
Where's the love that has not forsaken me
Where's the work that'll set my hands, my soul free
Where's the spirit to reign rain over me
Where's the promise, from sea to shining sea
Where's the promise, from sea to shining sea
Wherever this flag is flown
Wherever this flag is flown
Wherever this flag is flown

We take care of our own
We take care of our own
Wherever this flag's flown
We take care of our own
We take care of our own
We take care of our own
Wherever this flag's flown

BONNIE TYLER ~IT'S A HEARTACHE~

It's a heartache
Nothing but a heartache

Hits you when it's too late
Hits you when you're down
It's a fool's game

Nothing but a fool's game
Standing in the cold rain

Feeling like a clown.

It's a heartache

Nothing but a heartache.
Love him till your arms break

Then he lets you down.
It ain't right with love to share
When you find he doesn't care for you.
It ain't wise to need someone
As much as I depended on you.

It's a heartache
Nothing but a heartache

Hits you when it's too late
. . .

It ain't r'ight with love to share
. . .

Oh it's a heartache

Nothing but a heartache.
Love him till your arms break

Then he let's you down
It's a fool's game

Standing in the cold rain

Feeling like a clown.

It's a heartache
Love him till your arms break
Then he let's you down

Leonard Cohen & Philip Glass: poems and music

I can not climb the wounds the system collapsed

I take pills to live for this I praise God

I took the road leading from the chaos in art

Lust is the horse and wagon grief

Armenian as a swan plunged like a rock

But time has passed is past the laughter

The white ink is my my very dilute

The day those who resist the script the night inventing

The animal howls My My Angel is angry

But I have no room to look penitent

Whatever wishes to make use of what I could not be

My heart will own impersonal yes

It will take a longer path will see the importance

the two cut my will and between freedom

In a split second to our lives collide

you hover the vastness and the door will remain wide open

And it will be born into someone like you

what no one has done this will continue to do

I know one Im know how to look

Corpo de Mulher

leonardo

Corpo de Mulher

Corpo de mulher, brancas colinas, coxas
[brancas,

Ah as rosas do púbis! Ah a tua voz lenta e
[triste!

[caminho indeciso!
Escuros regos onde a sede eterna continua,
e a fadiga continua, e a dor infinita.

Humano demasiado humano - Sartre 1

Dead Can Dance - Don't Fade Away

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Venq67tPA70&feature=related

"Baraka"

The Host of Seraphim", retirada do álbum "The Serpent's Egg" (1988).

Oren Lavie - The Opposite Side Of The Sea

Autor: Oren Lavie
Album: The Opposite Side Of The Sea
Song: 03 - The Opposite Side Of The Sea
Lyric: On the opposite side of the sea
The opposite side of the day
The colors are brighter and glee
The people unusually gray

On the opposite side of the sun
The ground is too hot to stand on
Too hot to stand on so they run

On the opposite side of the waves
The edge of a town to be saved
And quiet by night itll keep
For those who still dream theres no sleep

On the opposite side of the sea youll find her
But the waves will pull you under
On the opposite side of the sea youll find her
But the waves will pull you under

On the opposite side of the wind
A woman is wearing it thin
The opposite side of her skin

On the opposite side of the blue
Some people are waving at you
They say it is love that theyve got
Youre almost convinced but youre not

On the opposite side of the sea youll find her
But the waves will pull you under
On the opposite side of the sea youll find her
But the waves will pull you under

Reach your hand out
Someonell take it
Strip you down and leave you naked
Thats what they do to strangers, you see
Thats what they do to strangers, you see

On the opposite side of the sea
